Pražské Benátky s.r.o. · Křižovnické náměstí 3
Entry to the small museum at the Old Town end of the bridge, in the old convent of the Knights of the Cross, with a large model of the medieval building site. Pick it if you want the engineering story; skip it if you are taking the canal cruise, which already includes it.

The Charles Bridge Museum sits at Křižovnické náměstí 3, beside the Old Town Bridge Tower, in buildings of the Knights of the Cross with the Red Star, the order founded by St Agnes of Bohemia that ran this end of the bridge for centuries. Inside: the history of the bridge and of the Judith Bridge before it, the order's Gothic church and its Baroque rebuild, the bridge's sculpture, the floods and the repairs, and a large model of the 14th-century building site, with figures of workers and their machines (prague.eu).
The price at the door is 220 CZK for adults and 110 CZK reduced. Open every day, 10:00 to 18:00 from October to April and 10:00 to 19:00 from May to September. The online ticket of about $10 is close to that and cancels free up to the day before. The museum is run with the Prague Venice boats, and the 45-minute canal cruise includes museum entry, so if you want both, book the cruise and skip this ticket.
It is a small museum: guests report 30 to 45 minutes. Several older reviews say their museum ticket also got them onto the boat; the listing today names only the museum, so do not count on a cruise. Labels are in Czech and English.
The entrance is at the Old Town end of the bridge, next to the tower and the statue of Charles IV.
The bridge that came first, and the knights who guarded the crossing.
The big model of the 14th-century works, with the cranes and scaffolds.
Damage over the centuries and how the bridge was fixed.
Back on the square, under the Old Town Bridge Tower.
★★★★★It’s an excellent Museum for people interested in history. The additional boat ride was an icing to the cake. It’s money worth and deserves a visit if you have free time in Prague.
★★★★★A fun way to learn more about the Charles Bridge, lasting 30-45 minutes. As an added bonus, with your museum ticket you had access to a guided cruise on the Vlatlava, which was superb!
