PragueWay Tours · Mostecká, Lesser Town

A guide on foot, then the river

A guided walk from the Lesser Town past the Lennon Wall and Kampa onto Charles Bridge, followed by a boat under the arches and into the Devil's Channel. Book it if you want a real person telling the stories of the bridge, not only a recording.

Charles Bridge Guided Walk & River Boat Cruise

About this experience

PragueWay meets at Mostecká 53/4, the street that runs down from the Lesser Town to the western end of the bridge, at 13:30. The guided walk covers the Lesser Town, the Lennon Wall, Kampa island and Charles Bridge itself, with a local guide who speaks English. Guests name their guides in their reviews, Jarda and Josef among them. Then you board a boat for a cruise on the Vltava that passes under the arches and goes into the Devil's Channel, the Čertovka. A drink and a small snack come with it, and the tour ends at the Charles Bridge Museum, where your entry is included.

Be clear about one thing before you book: the guide does not come on the boat. The cruise has a recorded audio guide in 20 languages. One guest put it plainly: “Once we switched from his guided walking tour to the boat, the narrator was an automated voice; that was not a personal tour.” Others liked the smaller canal boats and the snacks. At about $50, it costs roughly twice the canal cruise on its own, and the difference buys you about an hour with a live guide.

Groups are capped at 30. The walk is on cobbles and steps, so bring shoes with grip. The Lennon Wall and Kampa are on the way, which makes this a good first afternoon in the Lesser Town.
